Job Title: Logistics Officer
Job Objective:
The Candidate selected for this position will the first port of call when goods are to be distributed to customer. The ideal candidate would be in charge of all goods in the warehouse and ensure that they are stored in the right place, distributed as directed and maintain adequate records.
Department/Division/Unit: Logistics
Reports To: Business Partner
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be required to:
General Duties
- Manage logistics operations including all logistics assets in order to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of supplies;
- Ensure travel arrangements are always sorted out on time;
- Co-ordinate and provide logistics support to ongoing air, land, sea or rail operations;
- Establish reports based on logistics movements and distribute them according to requirements;
- Ensure adequate logistics preparedness through contingency planning and continuous logistics preparedness reviews;
- Co-ordinate logistics operations with other departments;
- Supervise the activities of despatch clerks;
- Perform other related duties as assigned;

Job Specification:
Education Qualification:
First Degree in Management, Business Administration or other relevant field.
Experience
Minimum 3 years practical experience as Logistics Officer
